time has come

The time has come, to stand tall and firm
to defend your rights and not just those imposed upon you
feel the animal inside you
hear what it tells you
for we are but beasts with a burden
This is not the land of the free
and we are enemies
but for now, we must form a coalition
and fight the injustices forced upon us
we must stand tall and firm and form a wall of mental unity
we must stand tall and firm and break their rules of conformity
we shall win, we shall be the victors, we will be free
If I was to help an old lady with her gardening, in exchange for room and board
could this be seen as freedom from money
If I was to exchange my skills for nourishment,
could I not reach a state of ectasy.
If I was to steal electronic equipment and swap it for other stolen property
Would I truly be seen as a thief, in the eye's of the needy
you rich people with no problems of money,
live in a prison just like me, the only difference is, you get more "outside" days
the middle class with there large house and family, comfortable car and insurance bills
you are also in this prison, perhaps in the b-wing of conformists, but you are there
and finally, us, those of you who struggle to finish the month with a penny because you choose an honest life by working and giving 60% of your salary to the governing body,
we
are
the prisoners building the metaphorical railways for the toffs.
We are the ones ploughing the metaphorical fields for the wanna be's
we strive, work hard and yet find time to enjoy life
yet when all's said and done, we go back to our dive
we drink a bottle of rum to free our emotions
the ones we're not allowed to have in this distopian hive
our voice is heard, but we are not loud enough
like hearing a crying infant in a room and closing the door,
the screams will still be heard, but the child is ignored
those of you who feel like us, revolt
those of you who stand tall and firm, revolt
tear down the government buildings brick by brick
tear down religious safe havens, brick by brick
demolish the prisons, brick by brick
replace this society, bit by bit, piece by piece, revolt
we will live in a better day,
but by then, the world will have decayed
we'll be left to pick up the pieces
but believe me when I say
the rich will be helping
the middle class will be there with wheelbarrows
we will all be equal, we will start again
no religion, clerics will disappear
no governing bodies, they go in fear
a bowl of oats for a glass of beer
an hours labour in exchange of lunch
no currency, melt it down, forge it into something useful.
and pray that this society, however pitiful
gets no pity from us, when the great barriers fall.
so join me, hold my hand, stand Firm and stand Tall.

nowhere to go

like a field ploughed then sown, only to be covered with concrete
or an egg laid by a chicken only to be eaten
like a tunnel leading to a dead end
or a rocket that explodes whilst exiting the atmosphere
like an oxygen chambre with one breath of oxygen
or a drop of water for a fish
A second may just be a second, but without them, there are no minutes.
there are things that pass so quickly, yet will live on in the heart forever.
one day, that concrete will break, and the life from below will shine through,
one day, 24 hours, 1440 minutes.....86400 seconds. Time will heal, time will bear again.

calidus et frigidus

what is a penguin living on the ice
but a cold outer skeleton yet hot on the inside
